Robots and algorithms steal our jobs! But why is this a problem? The so called digital revolution turns many prevalent paradigms upside down. Algorithms compose masterpieces and robots entertain our grandparents in nursing homes.

What does this mean for our professional life? Could it be a blow of liberation or are we sinking into disorientation? What do we need when we are no longer needed? Or do we have to rethink our understanding of work in all its entirety?

The initiative “Wer schafft die Arbeit?!” freely translated “Who gets the work done and who defines work?!”) takes a closer look at the future predictions of our world of work - hovering between the all too perfect promises of technology and the pragmatic limits of imagination in social politics and the current employment market.

Terms were twisted, values shifted and paradigms turned upside down. Within participatory workshop formats we experimented with design as a playful tool to think with in order to make more equitable scenarios for our future working lives imaginable.
